This residence draws on the purity and restraint of Japanese design. At its core is a solid stained maple Ofuro bathtub, crafted using traditional joinery that reflects the essence of Japanese carpentry. Warm textures, natural materials, and precise detailing shape a space dedicated to calm, ritual, and refined simplicity. The Ofuro—Japan’s iconic wooden bathtub—embodies a centuries-old tradition of bathing not just for hygiene, but for meditation and renewal.
